Video shows Trudeau in blackface in 3rd instance of racist makeup

It’s not clear when or where the video was taken, but the video, obtained exclusively by Global News, shows Trudeau covered in what appears to be dark makeup and raising his hands in the air while laughing, sticking his tongue out and making faces. It does not appear the video was shot at the same time and place of the other photos of Trudeau in racist make-up that have emerged in the past 24 hours.

From a crisis communications standpoint, the Liberals did the right thing in getting Trudeau in front of cameras for an apology within the first hour of this bombshell story. However, CBC is reporting the Liberals knew TIME had these photos in July. That they would not come out in front of this situation and proactively release these pictures is an act of political communications malpractice.

Conservatives will review business subsidies in effort to save $1.5 billion

The federal Conservatives say they can find $1.5 billion in savings each year by eliminating some of the federal funding received by businesses. Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer was at a barbershop in Hamilton, Ont., Wednesday morning to make the announcement.

According to Jody Wilson-Raybould's new book set to be released today, the Liberals missed a key opportunity to advance reconciliation with First Nations. Wilson-Raybould reiterated that she was "extremely disappointed" to see racist pictures of Justin Trudeau wearing brownface and blackface and also revealed that she eventually will write a memoir about her years in office.

Today on Day 10 of the campaign: Liberal leader Justin Trudeau will be in Toronto today where he is set to make a policy announcement at the Toronto Don Valley Hotel & Suites.
